Philip Matesic (1983) is an American / Swiss artist, living and working in Zurich, Switzerland since 2009. He earned his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Social Practice from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008, studying closely with Dan Peterman. His performative, community-based, social art practice includes urban interventions, conversations and non-professional knowledge exchange as defining, relational forms. A defining project includes the ongoing organization and coordination of over 250 Theory Tuesdays Sessions since 2009.
