Philip Matesic (1983) is an American artist, living and working in Zurich, Switzerland since 2009. He earned his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in "Social Practice" from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in 2008, studying closely with Dan Peterman. His performative, community-based, social art practice includes urban interventions, conversations and non-professional knowledge exchange as defining, relational forms.

Cornerstones include the organization and coordination of the 13-year project, Theory Tuesdays (2009 - 2022) and 6-year public workshop series,  Practical Fridays (2013 - 2019). He is currently working artistically as part of the neighborhood project Radio Guggach by Kateřina Šedá in Zurich, Switzerland.
